Iraque democrático?

Da matéria da Radio Free Europe sobre o conteúdo das propostas de nova constituição para o país invadido em 2003 pelos EUA:

“Islamic law does not speak about rights. Islamic law is a system of orders and prohibitions. For this reason, I cannot speak about rights. All the new constitution says is that all freedoms and rights are performed in accordance with the law… We will find ourselves asking: What is allowed? It will not be the other way around… Islamic law in these affairs is, strictly speaking, an ideological system sufficient just for oppressing a human, wiping off and in the end erasing his or her humaneness.”
